Completing "Rating Factors":
Please note that all announcements requiring paper
applications have a set of requirements listed under the heading of Rating
Factors. You must address each Rating Factor in writing on separate sheets
of paper. Otherwise, your application will be incomplete and will not
receive any further consideration. Please include specific details as to how
your work
experience and training address how you meet each Rating Factor. Read the individual
announcement for more details. Who May Apply:
A job is listed as either "Federal
only" or "Public." These terms have the following meanings describing who
may apply for the position:
Federal only: U.S. citizens who meet one of the following categories
may apply:
- Current permanent Federal employees in competitive positions or former Federal employees with reinstatement eligibility;
- Individuals eligible for the Treasury Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) from the local commuting area;
- Individuals eligible for the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) from the local commuting area;
- Current Federal employees in Excepted Service positions covered by an interchange agreement;
- Individuals who are eligible for non-competitive appointment under authorities such as the Veterans’ Recruitment Appointment (VRA) (for grades 9 and 11), disabled individuals, returned volunteers from the Peace Corps or VISTA, etc.
