Gregory Fairchild is the Isidore Horween Professor of Business Administration at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and the Associate Dean for Washington, D.C., Area Initiatives. Professor Fairchild has received numerous awards, including an $850,000 grant in 2008 from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and the Faculty Pioneer Award from the Aspen Institute in 2009. He was named the MBA Professor of the Year by Poets & Quants in 2017, one of the Top Ten Business School Professors in the World by CNN/Fortune in 2010, and one of five high impact professors by Financial Times in 2010. Professor Fairchild also helps lead Resilience Education, a non-profit that provides high quality education to developing communities and administers the Darden Prison Program, among other initiatives.
