Update for CY 2021 NMTC Program Applicants

The Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) has posted on its website: the slides from the calendar year (CY) 2021 Round Webinar for Native Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) & Native Community Development Entities (CDEs); a minor correction to the CY 2021 New Markets Tax Credit Program (NMTC Program) Notice of Allocation Availability (NOAA); and an updated Application Frequently Asked Questions (Application FAQs) document.

Native CDFI and Native CDE Webinar

On November 18, 2021, the CDFI Fund hosted a webinar for Native CDFIs and Native CDEs on the NMTC Program and the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) application process. The webinar is part of a broader effort to increase NMTC investment in Federal Indian Reservations, Off-Reservation Trust Lands, Hawaiian Home Lands, and Alaskan Native Village Statistical Areas, or NMTC Native Areas. Correction to the CY 2021 NMTC Program NOAA

The CDFI Fund has published a technical correction to the CY 2021 NMTC Program NOAA in the Federal Register on December 13, 2021. Specifically, the correction clarifies the deadline to submit an amendment request to remove a Controlling Entity from Allocation Agreement(s) in “Table 1 Critical Deadlines for Applicants” is March 21, 2022.

Updated NMTC Application FAQs

In addition, updates to the CY 2021 NMTC Program Application in the Award Management Information System (AMIS NMTC Application) and Application FAQs are provided in response to specific questions raised during a webinar hosted on November 10, 2021, as well as through AMIS Service Requests. The Application FAQs includes a list of revisions to the text of the AMIS NMTC Application in order to match the text in the PDF version of the CY 2021 NMTC Program Application found on the website.

Please note that all updated guidance information is provided in the first four pages of the Application FAQs document.
