Complete the Federal Reserve CDFI Survey by May 30th
Every two years, the twelve regional Federal Reserve Banks conduct a survey of Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). This unique survey provides industry stakeholders data to inform research and policymaking. The Federal Reserve Banks field this survey to aid understanding of access to credit and economic opportunity in communities across the nation. The results can also be used by CDFIs to compare their organization to a larger national sample and to learn about other CDFIs’ products and practices.
The 2025 CDFI Survey is now open!

Participation in this survey is voluntary. The survey is open to all types of CDFIs, including banks, credit unions, loan funds, and venture capital funds — regardless of certification.
This year's survey will ask about recent changes in demand for your CDFI’s products and services, the top challenges your CDFI faces, and your CDFI’s use of secondary markets.
This survey should be completed by an executive decision-maker at your CDFI (e.g., CEO, CFO, COO, or board member), and should take about 20 minutes to complete. Please submit only one response per organization. You may exit the survey at any time, and your answers will be saved to complete later.
For more information about this survey and to see past results, please visit RichmondFed.org/CDFIS. If you have any questions, you can email cdfi.survey@rich.frb.org, or call (804) 221-8747.
This survey is an important tool to inform stakeholders on the current state of the industry and allows CDFIs’ experiences to be shared anonymously. Share your voice today – the more participation we get, the more accurate our insights on the state of the industry will be.
The survey will close May 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. PST.
